My first exposure to Steve Harvey was watching him host the tv show Family Feud and he was both funny and entertaining. Then I heard about his movie titled Think like a man and went to see it. The movie was hilarious and brilliant, partially because he wrote the book, and then did a movie based on the book but the actual book was in the movie itself. After the movie I found out that he had his own tv show called The Steve Harvey Show and I was intrigued to see how it was. It only took 1 episode to get hooked.
So what makes this tv show so good? His ‘hook line’ in the TV introduction is ‘I’m here to help’ and he doesn’t disappoint. Every show he is helping people in so many ways. He rewards people that do special things that impact the lives of others. He gives his personal and usually comedic advice in his ‘Ask Steve’ segment of the show and he’s always giving away gifts or money.
Steve and his wife Marjorie both have a foundation that mentors young boys and young girls teaching them what it means to be a young man and young women regardless of the circumstances they are in. It is called The Steve and Marjorie foundation and you can view the website by clicking here.
One of the most important reasons I watch his show is because Steve is such an incredible man and he’s not afraid to show his weaknesses, vulnerabilities and manliness. He is what I consider to be a brilliant human being and he brings the highest quality of entertainment and value to the world via his books, tv shows and contributions. This man is on fire!
